I went on to practice physiotherapy during my final years of graduation in a spine injury center and realized how transformative and an almost miracle-like impact physiotherapy can make to an individual’s life.

 

A spine injury of a young patient left me feeling vulnerable and shattered. The path to recovery seemed treacherous, and doubts overshadowed hope. But consistent effort with patient, even during the crippling days of pain and slow progress made way for new and unshackling life for her. I worked with her post surgery ensuring the consistency via virtual sessions and even on days when it felt difficult to practice any movements – we showed up for bare minimum but we showed up.

 

The results gave her a new life and to me a deep sense of belief in my purpose – of showing up for my patients, be accessible to them and help them live a limitless life.

 

My travels have given me so much and once during one of my forest stays – local tribals told me fascinating tales of elephants and how they encourage their young children to observe them. To aspire to become that strong not just physically but mentally, To Feel, Listen, and Remember and cultivate wisdom. This stayed with me and I strive to bring this spirit in my practice, enabling my patients to heal with patience, confidence, and everlasting positivity.
